Join the Teach the Word 2025 Choir!

What is the Teach the Word Choir?
The Teach the Word Choir is a backing choir that will join the Worship Team in leading the congregation in worship at Teach the Word 2025! This will comprise around 12-14 songs, mainly sung at the start of the morning session (10am-10.30am, and the start of the afternoon session (2pm-2.30pm).

Who can join the Teach the Word Choir?
The Choir is open to all believers who have a heart to sing and to worship the Lord and are aged 16 or over! Whatever your level of experience, the heart behind the Choir is to bring together singers from multiple different churches from all over the country into one big worship team - one church. one heart. one voice - for the glory of the Lord!

What is involved?
As this will be a backing choir (rather than a performance Choir) we are not arranging a full formal rehearsal. All the songs chosen will be well-known hymns and worship songs which most people will already know. Preparations will then involve the following:
1. A Practice Video: A practice video with lyric sheets and harmony arrangements will be made available 6 weeks beforehand. You will be be able to practice at home on your own.
2. Zoom Calls: There will be two Zoom calls to talk through practicalities and the arrangements. One before the end of May; and one two weeks before the conference.
3. Sound Check & Rehearsal: On the day of the conference we will ask the Choir to arrive at the venue for a sound check at 8am. Please indicate on the application form if you are unable to do this.

How do I join the Choir?
To join the Choir, please click the button above and complete the application form. Please note that completing this application does not guarantee you a place in the Choir as we may have more applications than we have places available! We will contact you by the 16th May to confirm if we can offer you a place in the Choir.
